CAD (Computer Aided Design) - During the fully computerized design process, we finalize every parameter virtually. Our main system is the Solid Edge ST, but we also use the SolidWorks 2007.
Strict monitoring
The main benefit of the FEA (Finite Element Analyses) inspection which used the Femap and Cosmos systems, is that instead of constly pre-testing, it is based on analysis on a parametric level, so it's easy to model even the most difficult situations without any material costs. The optimization is also fully automatic without any remanufacturing procedures.
Attention to details
After the evaluation of the results, the production process starts. The light and tough body is built according to the drafts. Every component is checked multiple times before installation.
Testing to the extreme
During the last check of the body, we use equipment which is able to model dynamic and strategic strains.
Ready to take off
After stain testing on the ground, we carefully examine the technoligical properties of the aircraft, including the aerodynamic, aero elastic and structural qualities.
Production technology
Our aircraft are manufactured using the latest, so called pre-preg composite technology. The honeycomb structural parts, which are unique to the industry in this aircraft category, are produced using pre-impregnated fibres, certified in the aerospace industry. The honeycomb structure results in increased resistance to impact and deformation (compared to the commonly used polystyrene foam).
The pre-preg technology allows effective and even distribution of adhesive material between composite layers. The heat treatment of laminated parts is done under pressure, in order to ensure perfect contact.
The metal parts, such as the control system elements are precision made pieces of work, using certified materials. The welded parts are produced using the gas tungsten arc welding technology, by certified welders.
Parts supplied by contractors (engine, instruments, adhesives) are quality controlled before assembly. Our AS 9100 aerospace quality management system warrants, that each Corvus aircraft is equipped with quality selected parts.
Quality assurance
Corvus-Aircraft is the only Hungarian aircraft manufacturer operating an AS 9100 quality management system. This system is based on the conventions adopted by the American aircraft industry and includes the well-known ISO 9001 quality control as well. Corvus is commited to environmental awareness, therefore it also possesses an ISO 14001 certificate. Aircraft types produced by ourselves are maintained according to our AS 9110 certificate.
Besides the above certificates, a Production Organization Approval to be issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency, is also in progress.
